Good News To Start Off The Week….

Good morning guys.

Before I start, here’s wishing you all good luck at the felt where ever you’re playing today and throughout the week.

Now, I have some great news to share with you today, and it’s regarding Rio Poker Palace. (The Poker Community.) Now as you all might be aware, our fellow neighbours (forgive the pun….lol.) down under cannot play poker for cash on any Merge poker sites……well that was prior to 19/05/10.

That’s right, as of the 19/05/10 all Australian poker players that have since struggled to play on Merge can now play all cash games at Rio Poker Palace. It had come to our attention that many Australian’s had become frustrated because they could participate in cash events and Rio Poker Palace have taken the big step in opening the market. Pokerspace – PS Points, What Will You Buy?

Hello again guys and gals,

Tonight’s feature regarding Pokerspace, is the PS Point. The PS Point is a form of currency, that Pokerspace employ so members can earn there

way to exclusive tournaments, fantastic gifts at the gift shop and much much more!

Now there are 3 ways to get PS Points, and that is either ;

• Earned
• Play
• Bought

Earned,

To earn, you can simply fill out you profile details when you first sign up to Pokerspace, be active in and around the website, (i.e. blogs and forum posts) or pass the tests in the school. This is the best way to start, and get you on the path to richness.

Play,

By playing, enter numerous tournaments (free rolls) you can win points by cashing, taking last longer bets, (a bet to outlast another player, winner

takes all) or even play the Pokerspace Lotto, for as little as 10 PS Points per go, and receiving great rewards if you win.

Bought,

Or if push comes to shove, you can always purchase the points. Currently, PS Points can be purchased for as little as $1 for 100 PS Points.

Now that we have pretty much given you a slight understanding on how to gain PS Points, its worth mentioning now, what you can use them for. Like many Poker sites on the web, when there are points available, there always a gift store of some sort, and there’s no difference here. The selection of items available are nothing short of amazing, here’s a small list of some stuff you can acquire from the store and for how much.

There are plenty of items available, above is just an idea of what is there. The best gift that Pokerspace have on offer is a WSOP Main Event buy-in for as little as 1.500.000 PS Points.

Obviously you can also use you PS Points for exclusive private tournaments at Pokerspace. For instance, Pokerspace may run a private tournament at RioPokerPalace, and say the buy-in was 100 PS Points, and they added $100 to the prize pool, you would buy-in and you could cash, win more points then you invested by cashing, and some cash too!

I think the best thing to leave on, is something i mentioned earlier in this post. That is “Last Longer Bets” or for short (LLB). This something members can do between one and another prior to an event, and bet to see who will last longer. Obviously the amount is up to the players concerned. At the moment i think the record stands at 1000 PS Points as a bet between two players.

Pokerspace – Crew Cup, Win Your Way To Las Vegas….

If you read my post yesterday (previous to this post) you would have got a general idea of what Pokerspace has to offer. Today I’m going to run through a big promotion with you which starts today. Its called the Crew Cup.

The Crew Cup!

The Crew Cup is a private event played at Reefer Poker, each crew must have a maximum of 6 players or a minimum of 3 players.

What are the prizes?

The winning crew will be going BACK TO VEGAS! The 6 crew members will be staying 5 nights in Vegas and participating in the Dream Team Poker tournament just before the WSOP main event starts in July 2010! Each member will also win $1000 cash for flight and spending money and Pokerspace gear. 2nd place will split $900 in online money, 3rd will split $300 in online money, 4th will split 18000 PS points and 5th will split 12000 PS points. All members of the top 5 crews will also win a PS T-shirt.

What is the Crew Cup?

The Crew Cup is a series of monthly poker leagues where poker crews compete in 2 weekly tournaments earning crew cup points. Crews can join the North American or European league for 3000 PS points or play for free in a practice league. The crews with the most crew cup points in each buy-in league at the end of the month qualify for 4 final tournaments over 2 weekends where the lowest combined crew score wins a fabulous trip. The top 3 crews in the practice league will win a free buy-in into the North American or European league in the following month. Crew can also qualify via 1 of 3 direct qualifiers.

When does it take place?

Monthly leagues for Crew Cup 4: Back To Vegas start in October and will run 5 months into March. There will then be 3 direct qualifiers in April with the Crew Cup Finals going down in early June.

How to qualify for the Final Crew Cup Tournament:

You can qualify by finishing at the top of the North American or European monthly crew league based on your total # of Crew Cup points. Pokerspace gives away 1 entry to the final for every 15 crews participating in the league (rounded up). Crew can also qualify in 1 of 3 direct qualifiers held after the monthly leagues for their last chance to qualify for the final. Again, Pokerspace gives away 1 entry to the final for every 15 crews participating in the direct qualifier (rounded up). We will also be giving one buy-in back for every 15 crews registered in the league for both the leagues and direct qualifiers.

What happens if my crew qualifies more than once?

Any crew that qualifies more than once will receive their 3000 PS points back and block out a crew from qualifying in that particular league.

Pokerspace, The Poker Community….

As mentioned in my previous post, today’s post is regarding a great poker forum that i have been a member at for almost a year now, and its called Pokerspace. If you havent heard a lot about Pokerspace, then your at the right place to read up, oh and sign up….lol.

Now, i think the main thing to take in to consideration before we start, is that Pokerspace is a poker community, which is probably without doubt the best forum online for whats it does and offer, and…..ITS FREE!!

Pokerspace was formed back in 2007, with the view to being the only social network to offer the ability to cater for all types of poker player, whether you are a beginner, intermediate or experienced Poker player Pokerspace was seen to be the place to be. With the added bonus of a great social community, players are able to interact with one and another and share there experiences and seek help and development from fellow members.

At Pokerspace, they have also integrated there own currency, called “The PS Point” this currency can be earned by simply winning tournaments, signing up, filling profile or even signing up to poker sites through Pokerspace and depositing. When you build your points up, you can buy in to PS point buy-in tournaments and win more points or even added cash.

They also have a great PS store, where you can purchase gifts with your points. On offer are, WSOP packages, Poker books, electronic gifts, holidays etc….

One of the big things to be promoted at Pokerspace, is the long awaited return of the  Crew Cup. The crew cup is a team based event, which takes place at Reefer Poker. The prize consists of a great trip to Vegas and play in the forthcoming WSOP event.

I think the best thing to finish on, is the fact that at Pokerspace, they also have a great school, where you can learn the game through lessons and when you feel confident, take the test. For instance, i have passed my tests for Texas hold’em, and thus have the “grad accolade” this constitutes to my pass, and i also claim and eagle chip for my achievement.

RioPokerPalace Continued….

Hello again guys and gals,

As promised in my previous post, i was going to add some more information about this great poker site RioPokerPalace.

Now if you have recently taken the opportunity to follow any of my links to the website and possibly for instance created an account, you would have probably noticed that the website is called RioPokerCasino. The reason for this is simply that RioPokerPalace took  over an old Poker site, which became dormant, and whilst RioPokerPalace gets its own website built they will continue to use RioPokerCasino.

Now the new website is looking great, but no deadline has been set, as the company feel that they are in no rush.

Just to tickle your fancy, here is an image of what the new website will look like, please bare with us, as stated earlier, the website is still being built, and is not completed.

As you can probably tell, some exciting times ahead…..

On another note, you would probably wonder why you have not seen RioPokerPalace advertised much around the web or even The Merge Network. This is mainly due to the fact that the website is new and soon, the flood gates will open (so to speak) and will be a well known poker site throughout.

Now RioPokerPalace have started to use a fantastic poker forum called Pokerspace. Pokerspace is a great poker community and is probably the best at what it does. Pokerspace have a lot of private tournaments, so RioPokerPalace have seen this as a great benchmark to get themselves moving, and its working wonders!

Instead of confusing you, i will mention more about Pokerspace, in a later post.

A Little More Information On RioPokerPalace…
